Seasonal Allergies: How to Get Through It by Monique Miller, Senior Manager, eCommerce
The long, long winter has come and almost gone? Spring is here and my allergies are out of this world!!! Sneezing, coughing the torture doesn’t stop. Every morning I wake up thinking that I am getting the god awful flu that is going around. Nope, it’s just that spring has sprung. Here is how you can embrace the seasonal change with me, so we can finally smell the flowers blooming and enjoy the warmer-ish weather. Transitioning your body for the new season should all be part of your self-care routine and is fairly easy to do. Here are a few of my tips:
1. Eat a spoonful of your local honey.
Since the honey is made in close by the honey should technically contain the pollen that is in your area. The bees are pollinating your hometown flowers and will help you build an immune system to make you less sensitive, which will help control your allergies a bit better.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar is key.
Forget all the other benefits that come with it, but ACV is amazing for allergies as it helps keep your mucus production at bay. The taste isn’t the best, but try adding it to warm water and adding the glorious, local honey to it. This is the ACV I have been drinking for years:
3. Sweat it out.
Exercise is really important to getting through the allergies. Cardio gets your heart pumping and gets rid of all the toxins, while keeping you energized.
4. H20! Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
Chances are you might be dehydrated making allergy symptoms SO much worse. Try giving yourself a challenge throughout the day to get a certain amount of ounces in.
5. Joint pain and swelling?
Joint pain and swelling is another symptom of seasonal allergies.Try taking Turmeric vitamins daily to help with the discomfort. Turmeric has amazing anti-inflammatory value and potent with antioxidants.
Have any other suggestions? I would love to hear them. I will take all the help I can get. Good luck out there, Dolls! Relief is right around the corner.
